Pastor Chris Eller recently wrote a review of William P. Young's book, The Shack. Though Grace Church does not typically do "book reports", Chris thought it to be very important to warn readers about this book. Whether you've already read this New York Times best seller or not, I would recommend that you take the time to read this review:

The Shack: A Warning for the Unsuspecting Reader

Also, here's a quick video that summarizes the dangers of the book. This is Pastor Mark Driscoll, from Mars Hill Church in Seattle, WA.

  1. Thanks for sharing this - I am reading through The Shack for a second time. I think the book definitely has some good points, helping us to confront some of our misconceptions about God that are not Biblical, but I also have had some concerns about some of the concepts put forth in the book & this is a good reminder to test everything with Scripture. I am in a book club/discussion group about the Shack right now, and some of the people are TOTALLY sold out to every line of the book, as if it were Scripture, so I understand the concern.
